Well, I've got a lot to lose, so exercising plus keeping track of what I'm eating is vital for me if I'm going to succeed - which I am!

I used to love going to the gym when we lived up in Northampton, I went 3x a week.  Sadly that's no longer an option, because of cost and distance, seeing as I don't have transport when husband is at work.

You sound so upbeat, Sue,which is great, this morning felt I had some get up and go, for a change. I can't exercise, which is a major drawback, but I have lost without exercising, before, so I can do it again. My Daughter is on a Diet too, for her health, stopping Smoking, has piled on the Weight. Have just bought three old Weightwatchers Books from Amazon, will get some useful information from them.  One trick I learned from Dieting many Moons ago, is if you are really hungry, boil an Egg, only eat the White part, as there are no Calories in it, and being Protein it helps burn Calories.  I try each Day to 'save' some Calories, then at the Weekend I can spend them on Treats without feeling guilty.smile

I am upbeat thank you Tina, even more so now!

My first weekly weigh in and am happy to report I've lost 6lbs!  I know big losses in the first week are generally water but even so it's such a boost.  I expect it will settle to a loss of a pound or two per week (or even fortnight) now, which is fine - it's all a step in the right direction.

Well done Sue, when I first started my diet in 2012, I actually gained weight in the first week, so you are doing it right.

Are we having fun yet? I am!

Well done! what a boost to start with, my weigh Day is Friday, won't match that I know, as age and infirmity count I'm afraid, but whatever I lose it will be a step in the right direction, and I will have my Cals to spend at the weekend. Today, will be difficult, as have the Tuesday two and have to feed them, away to make a Fruit Loaf and a Pot of Leek and Tattie Soup.

Having a fishy day today - well, apart from breakfast which was natural yogurt and half a mango.

Going to have tinned pilchards and salad for lunch, then for tea we're having grilled Dab, with homegrown new pots, broccoli and peas.  Don't think we've ever had Dab before, picked them up in the supermarket the other day, they look like small plaice or sole.  According to Jamie Oliver, they're succulent, rich and flaky and like lemon sole....sounds delicious!

The Canelloni Ready Meal, was dire! I was so hungry ate the Pasta bit  , anyway, had a low Fat Yogurt as well.  On the plus side have saved up 200 Cals so far, for the Weekend.

I'm beginning to see the effects of my weight loss.....my stomach is definitely smaller laughlaugh

Having a chicken breast wrapped in lean back bacon for lunch today, with salad.  I'm really fancying some cheese, having had virtually none for nearly a fortnight, so will have a couple of rice cakes with finely sliced mature Cheddar for supper, along with some crunchy radishes, carrot sticks and cucumber and a teaspoon of low fat mayo to dip them into.
