I think it is to do with you need Protein to burn Fat, so, if you don't eat enough you will not do so. It will be a struggle for me, I know that, but just cutting out the amount of sweet stuff, should help. Being sedentary, means I sit for long periods and get bored so although I eat small Meals, I tend to pick, and it is, simply something to do. Well. tomorrow, will be my first weigh in, I think I can say have been good, this week.
That sounds correct, Eileen. Weighed myself for the first time this morning, and have lost three pounds, so very pleased. My biggest problem is Cups of Tea, I allow myself 600 Mls, but still not enough, will have to try putting less Milk in, should drink Water, I know, but hate it, will try with a squirt of Lime Juice in. I should say, 6oo Mls Milk
Well done Tina!
I now drink almost exclusively water, I just have one cup of coffee first thing in the morning and water all the time after that. Very occasionally I might have one cup of tea in the afternoon. It's just a case of getting used to it, I suppose. Prior to being diagnosed as diabetic, I had sugar in tea/coffee......that stopped of course upon diagnosis. I hate the taste of sweeteners and have never really managed to like the taste of tea/coffee without sugar, so I hardly ever drink them anymore.
I just don't feel in a dieting or exercising mood today. I'm not going to stuff my face with anything going, will try to be sensible and get back to it tomorrow.
learning to love veg…..except celery :-O
Been off the diet today and in a perverse way it's done me good. Had cheese sandwiches and a fruit scone for tea, and am now feeling so bloated and uncomfortable that it's brought it home to me just how much better I've been feeling over the past couple of weeks when I've had no bread at all.
Am actually looking forward to going back on the diet tomorrow.

Back to my diet again today after yesterday's blip.....come on Aly, we can do this! I enjoyed the cheese sarnies whilst I was eating them, but hated the bloating after effects so that's certainly put me off bread for a while.
For lunch today doing lean steak mince with a tray of oven roasted Mediterranean veggies.

Next fast is Monday so I just keep an eye on it over the weekend. That is why I like 5:2, I do not want to count calories or points! It seems to be working too.
Alongside the fasting on each fast day I do some de cluttering. At the moment I am sorting my clothes, thinning them out! Three bags so far in the charity bin.

Ordered myself a DIET Plate, on Amazon, has anyone any experience with it? Brother came in, Doc has told him to Diet, so ordered one for him. They have a good write up, shows you how big your Portions should be, saves counting Calories. Bit pricey, will have to be careful when washing it. Looking forward to Brunch, will amalgamate my Breakfast Calories with my Lunch ones, and have Egg and Bacon.. Happy Dieting!
