This is completely new to me. Fiona swears by it. She discovered it only a few weeks ago.

There are loads of courses online, both paid-for and free.

The one tutor that has impressed her the most is 80-something-year-old Burt Goldman. She says that the extremely simple technique that he describes on his free video worked for her in 10 seconds flat.

Also, that he cuts out a lot of the fluff she found on other sites and reduces it all down to the very basics.

Anyway, I am now going to Burt's site to investigate Tapping and will report back. Maybe write a progress diary on this thread.

Does anybody have experience of this?

I looked at the site but I can't quite make out what it is supposed to do for you?

I'll try that again!

Watch the video, Toni. I watched it just now. The technique he describes starts at about 4 minutes in.

Well, I will give it a go. If something that simple can improve my life then it would be dumb not to try it.

F also described another tapping technique that is not mentioned in that video. I will ask her where she saw it.

Another thing, the notion of using Quantum Physics theory (that there are countless parallel universes and there is a clone of you in all of them) worked very well for me when I managed to give up smoking a few years ago. OK, I fell off the wagon shortly afterwards, but it did the trick when I made the attempt.

But that is another topic. Let's keep this on just about Tapping.

I need to investigate further.

Edit:

This is the video that F wanted me to watch - shows a different but related technique.

I did watch it, I just can't understand what it is supposed to do for you - can you explain that?

I'll try that again!

I can tap ok until the belly rubbing starts ! Sounds like a throwback to the Carole Chaplin/Cherie Blair era .

Seed catalogues are responsible for more unfulfilled fantasies than the web and playboy combined . (after Michael Perry)

Arrrhh! Good point! Only I need him to do lots of jobs, may just have to put up with the tapping I guess. At least glares across the room sometimes works runaway

Glares, blimey Joanna, that's restrained of you...I glare a bit, then if that doesn't work I find shouting gives much better results.(and threats of violence work even better)  Mike's son, who has now gone off to Oz again thankfully is one of those knee trembler types...you can just see his leg moving out of the corner of your eye...drives me nuts

My hubby used to be like that when he rode a bike a lot, thank goodness he has now stopped that. We don't really shout much anyway and so glares are usually enough or a verbal request in a firm tone - no shouting. cheers

Interesting Danny...my sister Erin has Lyme disease, and I know she does Tapping with a therapist to help with pain and "opening up" her lymph system. She swears by it.

I hadn't heard of it being used to help replace negative thoughts or memories.
I like the idea!
I know I can get caught in a loop of negative thoughts for any number of reasons, (past experences, present letdowns), and having some way to help get you out of the rut you put yourself into is great!

If you can't be a shining example, be a terrible warning!
