Oh, by the way, you can make wonderful Quince Brandy or Vodka from them. That means you can extract bits of sozzled quince to add to apple pies & roast meat over the winter.....a win-win situation.  laugh

Nadine, that sounds good! I have been offered some quinces (they are still on the tree so I don't have to do anything about them for a while) and am really pleased since I haven't had any for a few years. And I have also been offered some more apples, so quince and apple cooking is on the horizon. I am just finishing a very old pot of P's quince jam, so I will be glad to try my hand at it.

I've got a tree full of the beauties but lack of rain has not made them very big this year¦I'll just face Mecca like the rest of my neighbours and pray for rain, a very sharp knife and the strength to carry out the task in hand...¦the vodka route seems the easiest....big_laughbig_laugh
