The humour and banter on this forum is wonderful. It is one of the aspects that sets it apart from other forums in my opinion.

We have not had to introduce rules and regulations and we hope we never have to. However, common sense must prevail, so please think before you post and ask yourself if your post will generally contribute to the topic of the thread.

I have been guilty of it frequently, so it's something I will be more aware of when posting in future.

Toffeeapple and myself will quietly delete any instances where a series of off-topic posts appear to have derailed the original thrust of a thread.

Thank you all very much.

In the moderating I do we have two folders where randomness is allowed, neh even encouraged Cheers, maybe there could be folders like that here too. I have been known to move posts too when they are funny and will stand on their own but are not really relevant to the thread. Mind you I deal with 11-16 year olds mainly, don't know how you manage with this rabble WhistleWhistleWhistle

Thanks for the tip, Joanna. I don't know where you find the time to cram in all the activities that you engage in!

The International Village : On the sun-lounger forum is the free-for-all on this site.

No worries, BS. Nobody is being criticised. But let's all be just a tad more careful about WHERE we post our impulsive and witty one-liners!  Keep them coming! Laugh

Amusing posts are always welcome if they are vaguely on topic. The problem only arises where the next poster and the next . . add responses that take the thread further and further away from the original topic. That's all.

Hi MOS - good idea. star

Yes, you should be able to do that.

1. Start a Reply by quoting the relevant bit from the post

2. Copy the quote into your clipboard

3. Cancel the Reply

4. Post in the thread you want, or start a new thread

5. Paste the quote into your new post
