We do not send emails to people who register so no need to worry about spam or unwanted newsletters.

Two reasons why you might want to log in even if you do not intend to post anything:

1 – No ads

You are not shown the display ads that appear in the left-hand sidebar

2 – List of topics with new posts since your last visit

At the top of the forum, to the right of the Search button, is a  drop-down “New/Recently Updated Topics”.

This drop-down is the first thing I go to on every forum visit. When you are registered and have signed in, the drop down shows the list of newly updated topics in Red. That makes it so easy to zoom in on new posts that were added since my last visit.
