I made this today, it was quite nice and very easy to make. It is not a long keeping chutney as it has very little vinegar so will have to be kept in the fridge and eaten quickly.

2cups of blueberries

1/2 cup of red onion finely chopped

2 tablespoons of cider vinegar

pinch of cinnamon

pinch of salt

combine everything in a pan over medium heat. Bring to the boil and boil for 3 to 5 minutes.

I thought it would stick to the pan as there was no extra liquid apart from the 2 spoons of vinegar, but the juice came out of the berries very quickly

No sugar in it, Eileen?  Does it rely on the blueberries and red onion for the sweetness?

It must do Sue  , it just has what I have put in the list in it. It wasn't super sweet but wasn't sour either, went quite nicely with the vegetarian quiche I had and also with cheese.

I bet it's lovely with cheese.....cold meats too, especially cold roast pork I should think.  I've got all the ingredients, I might give it a go.  Don't think I'd use cinnamon in it though, maybe some chopped fresh herb of some sort.
