Thanks to all who have asked; I am getting better but not really right yet.  Having to accept that this is a hidden but ever present condition is proving hard to accept at the mo; hence the collapse after doing too much!!steam

Shelley, I saw this article, about a drug called Flupirtine, and it states that it is available in Europe, though not the UK or America. Suggestion is that it may help fibromyalgia sufferers.

Have you heard of it?

I wonder if Shereen knows about that Val, she is a sufferer too?  I have a friend in Cornwall who is in the process of being diagnosed with it or something similar and it is taking such a long time, she is so frustrated.

I'll try that again!

TA, I don't know how long this has been available in Europe - maybe not that long!

It must be awful having something that can knock you out for some time. Big hugs to all sufferers. big_hug

Big hugs from me too.  Val, I'm going to send that link to Sheila in Cornwall, it will at least be something she can ask about in the docs.

I'll try that again!

Perhaps, TA, if enough people are aware of it, then maybe it might become available.

Hope Sheila can find an answer soon. smile

I'll try that again!

Hi there,

thanks for thinking of me! welldone

Bless you.  I know what you mean, I took a long time coming to terms with Scoliosis and, even now, can forget that I can't do the things that I used to manage with ease.

I'll try that again!

Yes there are so many of us on here with debilitating long term conditions.  I always feel so bad moaning esp as my dad has been in a wheelchair since his 30s and thus is far worse off than me!

That's a sad thing to happen Shelley, I expect he took a long time coming to terms with it too.  But we are allowed to moan here because here we get virtual hugs and positive vibes which might be lacking in some lives.  big_hug See, there's one!  I've just been to see a neighbour who lives just five minutes walk from me and now I can hardly move. Tomorrow I expect I'll be back to what is normal for me.

I'll try that again!
