I love the smell of cows 🙂 It was one of the things I liked about our stay in the Basque country. Less popular was the fact they they chewed the cud all night in the field outside our bedroom window, and because they were wearing bells, they went clong-clong-clong constantlyÂ
ours don't have bells but I can hear them chewing when they are in the field at the back of our house. I love it too
Trying to enjoy life as it is
Hello Penn
I am totally in love now with all the apple jelly flavours I have made this year. The flavours are magic. The redcurrant and apple jelly is delicious (caught hubby spreading it on his toast the other morning) but it works really well in gravies and sauces as well. Your gravy will explode with flavour.
Also adding Thyme is wonderful (lemon is my favourite)
Other great ones are, Rosemary...goes well with lamb and fish
I haven't tried Garlic yet so no idea if that works but can't see why not.
Apple jelly is a great vehicle to carry any sort of flavours.....once you start tho you will be hooked

Ooh black grapes - now what you need is a much more experienced jammer on here to help you with that I think.
You could start a fresh topic and ask specifically about the grapes in case it gets lost in this one.
I bought a steam juicer a few months ago and I love it for extracting juice and I know a lot of people who grow grapes use steamers.
Good Luck and happy jelly making
