Hi, all!
Does anybody know where I can get jar lids that pop in as the contents are cooling down?

Hi Olga,

Lakeland sell jar lids - whether they 'pop in' like you say, I'm not sure, but most jar lids do, so I would expect that they do too.

Good luck with your search! big_hug

I'm sure that someone posted a link or several for this kind of thing, it just means looking through the relevant (!) thread.  I haven't time to do it now but will have a bash tomorrow.

I'll try that again!

Olga

Any lid should do it if the seal is good enough.

You could try online at the jamjarshop or through seedsofitaly (they stock the bormioli range that I think has the pop top lids).  I buy bulk from jamjarshop now as they are the best priced online that I have found...good selection of sizes as well so I can reuse more storebought bottles.

Ooh, thanks for all your replies- I have been using flat lids for a while now, topped with gingham hat- not that I ever had any problems with them.... just curious, really, if I can improve my packaging! Thanks for suggestions Rob, I'll have a look ( at work just now)

Olga - have just discovered that the firm I use to buy jars from now sell lids with a button. They don't do all sizes but the ladies who answer the phones there are really helpful and will tell you what they can supply.

The website only shows you the lids in packs of 100 but they said they would sell me what I wanted as I had bought jars from them, but they may not be able to do this if you only want lids due to postage costs.

However - I thought you might want to bookmark the name of the firm in case you need to buy jars in future you can select ones with lids with buttons and I've yet to find this option anywhere else yet.

Glad it was of use Janet. They are incredibly helpful there even though I only buy in very small amounts. I'm lucky enough to be able to drive there and collect which does help as I can see everything on display before buying.

Thanks Maura, I will keep the site marked. I wish I looked sooner- just bought 100 lids!  Just wanted to share this one: I have been getting my jars and lids from them of late, find them well priced and they have lovely red gingham lids, too!

Re: Freeman-Harding

That's OK Olga - they are a very nice firm to deal with.

Before buying I always do a few comparisons with e-bay, jamjar.com and freeman-harding and so far I've never found them anywhere cheaper overall but it's always best to check as obviously there are special offers with other companies from time to time.

I'm not connected to them in any way - so don't profit at all from recommending them, just nice to pass on good service.
