Just made lasagne for dinner for my fussy son-in-law and daughter-in-law who don't eat roast lamb!  Also made my lemon curd this morning for the Peacehaven Horticultural Show next Saturday, hoping for a 1st!  Already made blackcurrant jam and gooseberry jam from fruit grown in the garden.  Got lots of baking to do next Friday, entering nearly all the baking classes, got a 1st last year for my rock cakes and victoria sandwich last year!  (I'm very competitive!!)big_laugh chef Hubby entering vegetables.

Just a few things Nanny Cook....my daughter is in France so has left the field clear for you..big_laughbig_laugh and speaking of Lasagne you reminded me of my son's faux pax when asked by his mother-in-law what his favourite dish was ...'mum's lasagne' came the reply and I'm a little worried about your last statement...confusedconfused but MOS or Danny might pick up on this onewhistlewhistle

That sounds like a lot of work Marilyn, I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get at least two firsts this year.

I'll try that again!

Naughty, naughty, Elsa big_laugh

Good on you, Marilyn. I would be competitive too. Shame we are so far away or I would come to the PHS and roar and applaud loudly for you!

waveGood luck Marilyn.  Hope it all goes well.  Our horticultural show is on Saturday too, but I shall not be entering anything.  Only seeing what everyone else can do.  Last year was my first year of attending it and I was amazed to see that some of the veg I had at home were better than some prize winners.
