Danny, she always makes enough for us to have second helpings....we don't have breakfast on the days we go so we are hungry enough to eat lunch.

Oh dear Kate, I would be totally unable to eat any of that food, I'd be gagging the whole time.  The thought of cold chocolate custard and prunes....bleugh.

Rather better fed today- salmon with fresh watercress sauce and green salad followed by rhubarb cooked with strawberries added at the last minute, cream and meringue.I_am_Hungry

I made a type of kedgeree last night but instead of rice I used barley for a more robust grain and locally grown - for those who want to reduce their food miles this is an option. I used the home made bacon, some smoked mackerel, boiled eggs, peas, pepper and a mushroom stock cube, all served with a salad and bread. Twas quite tasty Cheers
