It wasn't really Joanna, but it was very tasty.  Hope you are feeling a bit better tonight.

Shereen said:

Must be leftovers day.

We had creamy, cheesy pasta made with leftover cream, leftover turkey and a couple of rashers of leftover bacon.

And my lunch in work today was leftover vegetables and rice from last night's dinner.

I am not a turkey fan Shereen, but that sounds ab fab.

It's strange, but nowadays I can almost taste a recipe or a description like yours. I guess like some people can read sheet music.

Was it as good as I imagine?

Tonight (Friday) we had an Indian takeaway from Waitrose. Friday is our special treat night.

It wasn't.

We ate out last night at our usual local Bangladeshi resto.  The food is always good there.

I'll try that again!

Home made pasta tonight will do a recipty later when making it and post up.

3 size 3 eggs or a smaller egg from a size 4 chicken.Lol, 300g of plain flour for best results use Italian “00” flour.

I don’t quite no how this will turn out as only made it once or twice before, ive only two eggs so will make a small amount

  1. Pour the flour into a mound on a wooden or other smooth, warm work surface and make a well in the centre with your fingers.
  2. Break the eggs one by one into the centre of the well.
  3. Beat the eggs gently with a fork until the yolks and whites are evenly mixed together.
  4. With the fork, gradually incorporate the flour from the inside of the well into the egg until the egg is no longer runny. Do not break the wall of flour or egg will escape
  5. Needing the dough. Using both hands swiftly bring the reaming flour over the egg mix so that it is competently covered.
  6. Begin working the mass with your hands until all of the flour is mixed with the eggs the dough should feel moist but not sticky. When it is the right consistency, wrap it tightly in cling film.
  7. Have a good clean up and lets start again you need to knead the dough
  8. Rotate the dough a quarter of a turn and repeat the two part process.
  9. after witch leave to rest for at least 20 minutes

Will add some pink food colouring for jade and have a tin of hot dog sausages so we will roll out and lay the sausages in a line cut off some 4 inch lengths

Pop in boiling water and add a little drop off olive oil in to help stop the pasta sticking boil gently for a few minutes only.

Will make a white sauce and we will have baby tomatoes & cucumber, bread & butter and that’s tea done jade. She now want’s some dinosaurs pasta cut out’s they are now going to be pink and green pasta for the grass.

Kind of miss those days of cooking with the little ones, all the effort I went to to make interesting things to eat which didn't involve colourings for parties - one of mine went completely zappy on colourings so concentrated my mind somewhat, so I envy your opportunity Mutley and I am sure you are making the most of it as it doesn't last forever.Ok

Danny you are so going to suffer for that one.  Don't you know the birthday girl takes no prisoners.  You might not want to be in the same room as her!  Happy Birthday BS    Rose
