Popped into Morrisons on our way home last night to get some milk and fresh veggies.  They'd just reduced all their hot counter food, I picked up 4 cooked chicken legs for £1, which I froze when cool, and a large piece of pork & beef meatloaf, reduced from £3.25 to 32p!  We're having it today with veg and onion gravy.

Not a bit of cooking, unless you call heating up tinned Potatoes, 'cooking; I suspect not.   Bit of a non starter of a Day for me, so as I have a small Tin of Ham opened, will add Tinned Potatoes, and a single Trifle, and call it 'Dinner'.chef

Roast pork with all the trimmings for us and the neighbours.  Instead of dessert I have made and decorated some cupcakes and a coffee and walnut traybake in place of a birthday cake as it's the wife's birthday.  She can take home what we don't eat to share with others.

I have brought with us some lovely lean beef, which I think I shall make a casserole to provide for us for two days - that gives an easier (and tastier) meal on the second day!

Still finishing off our lemon drizzle cake, so no cakes to cook today - tomorrow probably!

How do you make your bean stew, Aly?

My two nephews may be visiting and they are both vegetarians, so it'd be good to have some recipes up my sleeve, as it were! whistle

We're having sirloin steak, chips and salad today.  I'm not a massive fan of steak....it's ok, but wouldn't be my first choice in a restaurant.....but husband loves it, so we have it as a treat every few months or so.

I have a huge pot of spaghetti bolognese sauce in the slow cooker, some of which we'll eat tonight and the rest will be portioned up and frozen.  I made mushroom soup for lunch with some crusty bread.
