You could have dropped it off here Val on your way through! I love leek and potato soup!

Bit of a throw together meal as a busy day....jacket potato with fried eggs and beans!

Aly, if only you lived a bit closer to our route, I certainly would have asked you! It would also be quite a convenient break in the journey for us! I suppose the nearest we get to you would be Alencon (as the crow flies) on the A28.

I won't be doing any more cooking this evening - well maybe a little bit of toast with a milky drink. A quiet evening I think - after all the packing up, and maybe even a little bit of sewing - who knows! yawn

Lean belly pork slices in home made bbq sauce cooked in the oven and served with carrots, roast potatoes, peas and cauli cheese.  I made a redcurrant mousse for pud with defrosted raspberries on the side.

Had a Punnet of Mushrooms to use by yesterday, so not wanting to waste them, cut the good bits that were not soft out, sautéed them with Onion, going to make Mushroom Tattie, and Onion Pasties. The other bits added to the Stock Pot

So for Dinner, Veggie Pasties, Mash, and Cabbage. Pud Trifle.chef

Chicken stir fry.  We seem to eat quite a lot of stir fries recently, I've been trying to increase our veggie intake and cut back a bit on the meat.  We'll never be vegetarians, carnivores through and through, but to be healthy we do need to eat more veg and less meat.  So I'm using one large sliced chicken breast between the 2 of us, and loads of veg.
