Thanks Veronica and Sooliz. I might try the jam if they don't turn - have had them in the wrong place, so will move them and hope that the ones which are reddening will speed up the others.

You can freeze green tomatoes, and use them in green tomato salsa, or in chutney when you can face making it again, maybe next summer when the courgettes get out of hand. big_laugh You can fry them and use them as a veg if you want, too.
