See here.  Some of these should spark your palate.

I'll try that again!

Ooh thanks TA, lots to choose from.  Wonder who the one who blogs about making Fanny Cradock's recipes veggie is?  A vegetarian fan, I guess.

Glad you like them Sue.  I haven't had a look at the mystery blog yet, I got stuck on "Amuse Your Bouche" and am now dithering about trying Quinoa for this dish; I don't like the look of it though...

I'll try that again!

You are right Toni, the dish does not look appetising, but I am sure it is if you like lots of garlic, which I don't!

Might do something like that but get some more colour in to it, toms, radish, oranges etc., but I would just waft a clove of garlic over the top for me.

Are we having fun yet? I am!

I don't like the look of it either.....too much green stuff!  Broccoli is one of those veggies I still can't bring myself to like, although I do eat the odd bit of it (husband loves it) as it's good for you!

I like garlic.....it doesn't like me very much though.

I love garlic but some days it dislikes me, no telling when.  I like broccoli but prefer the stalks to the flower, especially the main stem, peeled and sliced and cooked in stock.

I have things like Bulgar Wheat and Pearl Barley that I seldom use, I should perhaps find things to cook with them.  Couscous too; I used to make that quite tasty but now I can't recall how I did it.

I'll try that again!

I think the secret to making quite bland grains like bulgur, couscous etc tasty, is to cook them initially in a flavoured stock rather than just water, that provides a good base whatever you then add to them.  I like chargrilled veggies with grains, and a strong lemony/balsamic/soy & honey dressing.

wave I love all these foods.  Bulgar wheat is lovely as is cous cous and quinoa.  Had a quinoa dish the other week with lots of roasted veg in it .  It was delicious!
