Another lady from France,  i came to site to read about Madam Scarecrow, and although i also live alone (apart from2 dogs and a cat) at least i have electric and a roof that dosnt leak (well not yet !!) our budget isnt that different, as i live on my pension, i say live but its more like playing catch up as i go overdrawn each month just hoping that one month i'll come out even

Good luck to Mdm Scarecrow, maybe i should visit her to get some advice as i think i live pretty close to her

Hello Stephanie,

Welcome to the forum, glad you decided to join in.

We enjoy having Madame S. telling us about her life on a tiny budget.

I too live on my small pension....it is certainly hard , especially when something expensive goes wrong. I had a wall (of my bathroom) half-collapse......!!  A bit of a shock.

Welcome Stephanie from another pensioner...difference is I chose Bulgaria and money seems to go further (at the moment).  I currently live within Madame Scarecrows budget...run two cars...drink coffee but don't smoke but not sure I could go and manage on her new refined budget.....I think I like my home comforts too much....

Some lovely people on here and the others aren't bad as long as they get their medication every hour on the hour....big_laughbig_laugh  (mainly the men and me)

Nice to meet you Stephanie. wave You'll find a lot of us are coping with small budgets here, so you're in good company. The downside is all the lovely, tempting recipes!

Hi Stephaniewave. I live in Latvia and our money goes quite far, especially with all the good gardening advice. cheers Only bought onions this year so far and that was because we forgot to get some sets of onions earlier in the year and the seedlings didn't do well enough
