Maybe it's because thats where they came from, europe didn't want them coming back so they built that wall thingy, but ye cant keep a good Scot down. Q Where have all the picts gone thats the question ?

Sorry folks, i've been offline for a few weeks. The router was fried by lightening. My fault really as should have switched everything off when the storm started. Anyhow this is just a quick note to say thanks for the friendly welcome.

Oh and by the way I made mincemeat for the very first time last week and couldn't believe it was so easy. I used the Delia recipe but omitted the candied peel and used some chopped dates and pears instead. It was lovely- wish i'd made it years ago. Hope you all had a very merry Christmas. I've used the delia recipe for mincemeat for the past 2 years and have people coming back to me for the recipe...I add a few extras, cherries and almonds, but its lovely, would highly reccomend it -for next year
