waveAt random times I have an idea for a monthly theme, and wondered if here would be a good place for us all to just jot down our ideas in a kind of ongoing list, so that they are easy for everyone to see.  It would save us having to trawl through all the other comments on the established CSH Photo Soc thread.

Here are just a few thoughts from me.  Most of them are open to wide interpretation.

Flying Colours

The Elements - Air, Fire, Earth, Water  (a good one for March, with all its diverse weather?)

Summer Festival

Sculpture in the Landscape

Architectural Features

Happy listing!  I'm looking forward to seeing your suggestions.

How about paired pictures to show changing seasons ?

These are strange icicles - photographed by our SiL in the river outside our house.

The more suggestions from all those interested in uploading photos the better.  Get your thinking caps on.   I love the icicles, Brightspark - I've not seen anything like these before.  Seth - get yourself a camera!

Do you mean something along the lines of this?  But just 2 pictures, 1 for each of 2 months?  I think that's a great idea.  Doesn't Lucy do some amazing photography!  i just love her sense of colour.

Aha - you follow Lucy, too, very inspirational ..... yes, that sort of thing would be good!

Being an avid crocheter, I often look at her crocheting just to remind me how gorgeous it is!

I quite fancy that one, too, but as I suggested the February Gold I don't want to take over on the suggestions stakes.  I really like Brightspark's idea of 2 pictures of the same view, contrasting months, and would think this would be great a great theme for uploading shots later in the year; then we get to choose at random which months we want to pick - yes?

I feel guilty making a suggestion when I have not posted anything yet and probably won't till March (due to domestic chaos and inability to multi-task) but like the idea of Architecture and since I live near the sea something marine would be good. How abo9ut unusual shop fronts, street scenes and such like.

Also maybe a tryp-tych of 3 related images

I have reached an age where my train of thought often leaves the station without me...
