When I left for work this morning, there was a complete lack of frost but strangely, when I got to work (only 5 miles away) the empty bits of the car park were quite white and frosty.

Let's hope there is a bit more cold weather this month...

It was absurdly frosty here- I feel rather guilty for suggesting frost now- especially as I confess I looked out and went straight back to warm bed full of Sir and Andrew (cat before anyone gets ideas).

Oh Kaaate, you've spoilt the joke!  I thought it was quite funny that Frost was the subject when it seemed there was none around.  Now, mud --- I could've taken loads of pics today when we were tree planting.  Extremely claggy stuff that stuck to our spades and wellies.  Took 4 of us about 15 minutes to plant each sampling today. Boy, do my legs ache!

Gone crazy. Back soon.

How's everyone getting on with the assignment? the frost has returned here, so I've been out taking pics this morning. Not sure any of them are particularly remarkable though, so hoping we get a few more frosty mornings before the month is out. Maybe some weekend ones also, when I'll have the time to go out and look for some better subject matter than just what's lying around the garden.

We had frost this morning but it wasn't pretty, as in decorating trees and spider webs, just on cars, roofs and road.  Boring.

I'll try that again!

had frost for the past 2 mornings, but nothing worth taking pics of. Light frost forecast for tonight, but something more promising on Friday morning, so will try and remember to take the camera out with me.

Have loaded some pics I took in December, is that cheating? - love some of the close ups from Rae, I'll be out there in the morning looking at things a bit closer.

janet - I think, technically, yes. It probably is cheating. But they're very pretty pictures, and rules are made to be broken.

Joanna - if you want it to! see above re rules and breaking thereof. Though recalling the stunning images you have shared with us previously i think perhaps you may have an unfair advantage.

Had a bit of frost here last night but by the time I got outside with my camera the sun had done its darndest and there was nothing much of interest to take in the garden.  Still, we have a few more January days still to go.  Anybody thought of a February theme?  How about 'February Gold?'  Idea sparked by daffodils of the same name, but the 'Gold' could be anything in the yellow/gold vein.  I'm entirely open to other suggestions, of course.

Gone crazy. Back soon.

Snow we have plenty of but not frost this year, well since we got back, two days ago. The frost was stunning last year as the trees were covered in it and we had blue skies - at the moment we just have a little bit of snow but all day. I shall look up a photo and see if there is anything which would fit.cheers

I'll try that again!

wave I got some frost photos today at last, though they are not that good.  Will post some of them later.

Gold for February sounds good to me.
