I don't know how it is done but it is pretty impressive!

I'll try that again!

I am guessing that the design must first be drawn on the egg then little holes carefully drilled then a curved needle used for the threads.

I'll try that again!

Amazing, but I don't really like them. However I would like to know how it is done.

Many thanks TA....now I know.....unfortunately it turns me off even more. I can't see me doing that, although I own a Dremel tool (I used to use it a lot making my theatre scale models).  I can't imagine who would want one of those eggs as a gift in this world of decluttering.....one more thing that needs to be kept clean & dusted.....urgh.....!!

big_laugh  It's the "believe to be beautiful" bit that I have trouble with Jo.  I think eggs in their natural state one of the most beautiful things I know so decorating them by poking bits of yarn through them doesn't do it for me.  wave

I think chopping the back of them is cheating....I was intrigued by how it was done and although they are not to my tastes, I thought they were extraordinary, but now I see how they are done, its blown it for me.

Probably why so many people are getting divorced I guess Joanna......good advice to the younger generation before they tie the knot....

So to keep on topic, I've blown my eggs and got my Black and Decker out....pictures will be posted about 2020...that's the year not the time...winkwink

Lol well that provided a bit of merriment.

I think I'm with you Hattie, eggs by themselves are beautiful. Those embroidered eggs are fascinating but really not something I would want in the house.cheers
