It was a fast delivery but then I expect that kind of speed with our delivery system.  I do like your address label Simon, it looks very professional.

I read a blog today and the author made a potato salad using smoked quails eggs - I can see a collaboration with Mike coming on...

I'll try that again!

Ours arrived yesterday, Simon. Thank you very much. will do the Paypal thingy tomorrow (payday) as I have a grand total of £1.67 in my bank account! doh

Love the label and the leaflet. Fiona said she would be happy to do a promo blog article or put up a free ad if you intend to make a sideline business of it.

Do you have any recommendations for making the best use of smoked garlic?

Thanks, No hurry Danny, when you have it free will be fine.

A blog article would be lovely thanks. I don't think I'd make it a sideline business as such as it would take up a lot of free time. I like the idea of doing a run every month or so and offering it to my friends on here.

MY favourite use is with chicken. The other week I spatchcocked a pair of chickens. Then mixed a paste up of the garlic with butter and basted the chickens. Lovely subtle smokey garlicky crispy chicken skin. My friend's 13 year old God Daughter loved it ok

Oooooh, smokey garlic butter, how yummy.  Can't wait till this diet's over so I can try it ponder

(I am of course assuming that once the diet's up, I may yet be able to actually tolerate garlic!!!! eeek)

wave It would be an idea to mix a large amount of the mashed up smoked garlic with a slab of softened unsalted butter, then roll it into a log (cover with cling film) then chill. Cut it up into pieces & freeze to use later to add to various dishes. It is great with roasted or grlled chicken. I think this would be the safest long-term storage for Sue.

Weekend after next I'm staying with a long time friend for his 76/77th birthday.

Much cheers and  i_am_hungry will be made. He is having a dinner party and I'm doing the cheese course. I shall mix some garlic with butter to go with the cheese. It works a treat ok

I have just loaded up the smoker with 17 heads of garlic.

Any takers for a packed and posted pack of three heads for £6.00  big_laugh

Umm, not just now thank you Simon, I haven't eaten any of this lot yet! big_laugh

Just done what Nadine suggested and mashed all the cloves up with a load of butter, put dollops of it in clingfilm-lined ice cube trays, wrapped well in sealed freezer bags and frozen it.  Only another 5 weeks or so before I can try some......roll_eyes

Smells absolutely delicious, it's fighting with the veggie curry for dominance.....I think the garlic is winning whistlebig_laugh

I'm out of hot smoked garlic roll_eyes

When I return from my holiday in Devon (near Bideford - Hi Ruth wave) I shall be doing a Hot Smoked Garlic run.

I have one forumite (who live and works close to me in Reading) has already put in a request.

If anybody else requires a top up of their supplies let me know. ok
