I can do, if I can get transport to the event. I wonder if RuthDigs is doing the same trip as last year wink

I'll probably bring the smokers as last time but not worried about selling at the event as thats all about sharing ok

Packs of garlic going in the post tomorrow, Thursday, first class to;

Fiona,

Sarah-Jane,

Lucy (hand delivered)

I have a pack ready for you Danast but don't have your postal address.

Hope i haven't forgotten any one.

Still a couple or so spare packs of three available if anyone wants one, or an extra one.

Not sure if I should post this in here or in the rant section steam

I posted out the garlic packs today. However I must apologise as I had to post them second class as opposed to the promised first class. sorry This is due to massive price increases.

The postal prices went up as of 1st of May, after the government allowed the post office to decide their own increases. doh I expected a small increase and I was going to absorb that cost. I didn't expect this though.

They have done away with the weight banding for small packets and have just one band, 5g to 750g.

First class is now £2.70, up from £1.96. Second class is now £2.20 that's an increase of 34p over the previous 1st class cost. steam

As I have already quoted £6 a pack for this batch that is all I expect but for future packs I think I need to take the price increase into consideration especially if anyone wants it first class.

For the next batches I think the price per pack of three will have to be;

Hand delivered £4.50

First class        £6.70

Second class    £6.30

I hope this doesn't put people off.

However it would be cost effective to buy several packs in one go big_laugh

Woooo Hooooo Brilliant discovery ok

By chance I popped into a Scats country supplies store today.

They sell metholated spirits at about £15 for 5 litres instead of the £4 for half a litre I was paying locally.

This means I absorb the postage costs without too much hassle smile

Hopefully those that I posted to should have theirs, or very shortly will do.

Just noticed something about PayPal.

If you make a payment for a purchase then the recipient gets charged by PayPal, in my case a 40p charge frown

If you make it as a personal payment you don't. ok

Whenever I make a payment by PayPal, that 40p always shows up initially but then it somehow disappears again, I have never actually paid it.  Most odd.

I'll try that again!
