......it'll take a week of small curing fires to cure the oven.

Next weekend is pencilled in for bread and pizza trials......can't wait.

All the best

Is it big enough to roast good size meat joints in?

I'm feeling really dim here but where does the bread/pizza actually go?what_the_heckwhat_the_heckwhat_the_heckwhat_the_heck Looks fabulous though and I have already dropped the hint that I would like one to hubby when he can find time - problem is that is usually in the winter when we could be another metre deep in snow whistle

Many thanks for all your kind words

Couple of answers....

There are free plans available on line...I shall try to find them and post the links. There are also 3 forums/WFO sites with a wealth on free info ...and members who will assist in every stage of a wood-fired oven build.

http://www.fornobravo.com/forum/ (UK WFO forum)

The internal size is 90cm....and the door is 16" wide.......virtually anything can be cooked in it. It is what is called a "black oven"....the fire is lit directly on the hearth, then the embers are pushed to the back or sides and the sterilised hearth is used directly for baking......or some people also use trays....but there's no need.
