Been looking into this. You can spend a fortune, however this one looks pretty good.

As does this one on Amazon, but its not in stock at the moment.

Oh and if anyone wants to buy me this, feel free 🙂

wave  I have a Food Saver, although it is an older version.  I don't think it was too expensive and I must have had it about 4-5 years now.  It works very well.  However I think newer versions do not require you to hold down the button while it is sealing.  It was a really good buy though.

There was a pair for £450 but couldn't find it.

I have a vacuum sealer I bought from a charity shop for £15. It sort of works. The vacuum is fine but the sealing wire isn't very good. It takes 2 or 3 attempts to get a decent seal.

This one has a T-piece tube that sits inside the bag. I don't think this is a very good idea. I think it is better to have the chamber style like the food saver. Also get 'channeled' bags. These have very fine ridges on the inside to allow air to escape even when the plastic is vacuumed together.

There is only a limited guarantee on those headphones too.

I'll try that again!

Simon: I am an avid headphone user as I like the volume up with full base and surround sound. I am not in to music so much but films YES and of all the heads I have had, including some very expensive in-ear canal jobbies my current wireless ones are the very best I have ever had. They are the second pair of wireless Sennheisers I have had and are the best so far, but of course I am sitting in the lounge watching a TV, you are probably doing something revolting like jogging or something and need some music to alleviate the boredom !!

Whatever, good sound is important (to me) and these days since I struggle with my hearing anyway, the investment is well worthwhile.

Regarding vacuum packing, my wallet says is it really neccessary when I have an adequate freezer anyway or would I rather spend the money on some headphones, and I guess the heads would win outright if I had to make the choice..

Sir.

"you are probably doing something revolting like jogging "

Wash your mouth out with soap. How dare you suggest I partake in these filthy perverted activities.

Was that a pint in each hand?  Or do you anticipate them being lightweights?

Ladies really, I would love to be a lightweight, but either the scales are lying or the mirror is distorted.
