Dear all,

A recipe I have tried and found to be very yummy…plus I think can be adaptable for any changes people may want.

Basic recipe

200gms oats ( I use health shop large organic oats)

150 grm of nuts any combination you wish ( I used Lidls assorted nut called ALFRESCO Regal nut mix) quality is superb.

50 gms seeds…I love seeds so doubled up on this myself. Mine sunflower and pumpkin seeds.

250 Gms of any dried fruits. I used large raisins and Cranberries,

1 teaspoon of cinnamon,

5 tablespoon of olive oil

2 tablespoons of runny honey ( I used lidls Wild flower Honey once again for quality and value £1.25)

METHOD

In a mixing bowl combine Oats, cinnamon, seeds, nuts and olive oil plus honey. Really mix well together ( clean hands do the job perfect)

Now bake med oven for 25 mins TURNING EVERY 5 MINS

When done…cool off. Now add the dried friuts and mix in.

Store in a airtight jar.

Its my opinion that anything can be used for this recipe.

I shall try malt instead of honey next time.

Also any oil can be used…But I like olive oil for goodness.

Also any dried fruits could be substituted. Banana dried chips, choc chips, dates.apricots etc etc.

Tried for breakfast today…I can tell you..you WANT seconds LaughSurprisedLaugh

Warm wishes from Pam

[Image Can Not Be Found]Pam - another winner - sounds delish !

Ruth - that emoticon page doesn't work very well, does it - I have tried it also, and considering it is supposed to be 'free', it doesn't make it easy - or is it just me being a technophobe ......  quite likely!  Laugh

Aha - when I first looked, it was a black and red (almost impossible to read) strip.

However, after I posted - it appeared perfectly.  Doh

What happened there, then?

I saw the red strip too, initially. Next time it showed the emoticon. Weird.

Anyhow I have now put that neat one in the collection. Thanks Ruth. Ok
