Wasn't too sure whether to put this in baking or starters, but hedged my bets with here!

I'm looking to make some ciabatta for dipping in olive oil and balsamic vinegar (yummmm) and thought i'd see if anyone had any tried and tested recipes? Thank you!

Hello Jet fusion - ciabatta :

I haven't made this from scratch, but I do recommend the packs of make-your-own Ciabatta mix made by Wrights, and I buy mine from Sainsbury's - tho they are probably sold in all the big supermarkets.

One pack makes two large ciabattas - and always work really well.

Good Luck. Smile

Waitrose have a great recipe for that I've used but I can't now find the link.  I'll keep looking but might not get back to you until tomorrow.

I'll try that again!

Hello again, Jet fusion, if you would prefer to make from scratch, there is a recipe on the bbc website:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/database/ciabatt.....5453.shtml

This involves a two-part preparation, with a starter prepared the night before,

Does sound rather good though .... Chef
