Do let me know what you think of it.  If anyone makes it and thinks by adding something you could improve it then post away.  On occasion I chop some smoked bacon in asn fry off with the onions, but only if I have some in the fridge that need using up.

I guess you could do lots of different variations!  Chef

I've made chicken liver pate in the past and I love it too Cheers Not made it recently as I like to shop locally and there are no chicken livers in our local shop. Lucky if I can find chicken, never mind chciken livers. Oh the joys of rural Latvia Cheers

How strange, Joanna, that chicken is not readily available. Does that mean that people in the area tend to rear them for the pot rather than buying butchered chicken?

Drat! I forgot to buy the CL this evening. Never mind. They are often available at the CFC.

No it means that the Latvians tend to eat pork, pork or errr pork. We even have a pork butchers in the village three times a week. Now beef is a rare and precious find! I_am_Hungry

I remember when my Father moved to Holland some 25 years ago and found that cuts of beef were quite different to the UK.  I liked something called something like Riblappen (excuse the spelling please) absolutely delicious when stewed long and slow.

I find pork my least favourite meat, unless it's roasted with crackling and served up with home made apple sauce but I'm still not that keen!

I suspect that lots of pork and little beef wouldn't be my bag at all!Frown

I have to confess rabbit liver being so much lighter in flavour makes a delicious pate but chicken comes close second. So off to the butchers me thinks for some fatty bacon ends this week... it pate making weekend. might have to look in the pound shop for some little ramekins to press it into... hmmmm freeze some for xmas me thinks ok

hmmm strange today that all the math equals 13!!

You've made me hungry now, any chance of a sample of your Paté? wink  I just came across this bread on a blog earlier, apparently Tesco stock it so I shall have a look the next time I go there.

I'll try that again!
