Hi Shereen " normally I am a massive fan of your recipes but this is where we part company sorry
I think that bagels are the most overrated cardboard in the entire universe. Pretzels are OK, so your redemption is at hand! ok star star
Gorgeous piccies, in fairness big_hug

I'm surprised Danny! Still all the more fresh toasted bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon for me. Ooh or the cheese and jalapeno ones toasted with butter that the wee cafe do. Buttery goodness with a hint of warmth 😉
(FWIW I'm not a fan of the supermarket bagels, they are bland and cardboardy compared to the bakery ones. And the ones we get here are a pale imitation of the ones we got in Noo Yawk).

"How do you spell 'Love'?" (Piglet).

"You don't spell it, you feel it" (Pooh).

'A hug,' said Pooh 'is always the right size!'

I love Bagels, but agree with Shereen, the supermarket prepacked ones are rubbish, sainsbury's fresh ones aren't too bad. smoked salmon and cream cheese for me - with the sliced gherkins too.
