Tomorrow Sue - I have a thick slice of salmon left and some very fresh, orange yolked eggs that come from a farm near me and were delivered the day after they were laid.

I got the bread in Waitrose I toasted it but it didn't get golden, so I suspect that I should turn up the heat on the toaster.

I'll try that again!

What are the buses like from Somerset to MK?  Think I might have to get up very early (02.00 ish eeek) to get to you in time for breakfast though....and then have to rudely leave you and dash straight back in time to get Steve's lunch before he goes to work whistlebig_laugh

in answer to questions, yes we do cover it, we have one of those plastic vented covers that we cover most things in the microwave with, just in case of explosions. No the yolk doesn't go hard, if you do it ring, they are still runny with just set whites, our microwave is a 850 watt one, you may need toadjust slightly if you have higher or lower wattage.

Do you want me to tell you about microwaved scrambled eggs - no messy pan to clean

I have seen scrambled eggs from a microwave, they looked disgusting.  I don't mind washing up a small pan, soon after use and soaking.

Did you mean to say that you do the poached egg in a ring?  Is that on a plate, do you grease it first?

I'll try that again!

We always scramble eggs in the microwave, I think they're lovely.  You do have to watch them closely after the first couple of minutes and literally do them a few seconds at a time, though......overcooked scrambled egg is not nice!

I like a little scrambled egg made into a very light omelette - we had this on the beach once, a beach called Son Bou - that 'omelette sandwich' is now known in our family as a Son Bou sandwich - funnily, that was my supper tonight! ok

"How do you spell 'Love'?" (Piglet).

"You don't spell it, you feel it" (Pooh).

'A hug,' said Pooh 'is always the right size!'

sorry TA, the ring was a typo - I should have said 'if you do it right'

The trick to scrambled in the microwave is small blasts with lots of stirring in beteween. I like them really sloppy anyway, so it's easy. If you like them dry, then it might be more difficult.
