I watched a video by HFW, making Hummus and remembered that the last time I made it, the recipe called for very little Tahini so I was left with an almost full jar of it. So, a little investigation today and I found these ideas so I hope that I will be able to use that jar and not waste it.

I like chickpeas, and yesterday I came across this recipe for  another kind of dip, I think I shall attempt this too.

I'll try that again!

Mmm, they look good, Toni - especially the cannellini beans - might try that one!

Cheers ! laugh

Yes, I found out some time ago that chickpeas and beans are interchangeable in this type of dish.  I particularly want to try the Bagna Cauda, the idea of the beans being cooked again to make them more tender makes my mouth water.

I'll try that again!

I might try that Bagna Cauda too, I like that sort of thing (and hummus) - husband's not really a fan of it, although he will eat it.

I like hummus on toast instead of butter as well, you can add things like sliced tomatoes, bacon etc.

I think I shall make the Bagna Cauda tomorrow, it will give me something to do.

I'll try that again!

We like some dip before dinner, with melba toast, or breadsticks. All part of the dinner experience! smile

Melba toast is lovely as are the real Torinese Grissini, not like the ones that Tesco sell.

I'll try that again!

I'll try that again!

Hmm, Cornish people would not like that!  First off they use suet pastry and the filling is only potato, swede, onion and beef skirt and they are all raw before being baked.

I'll try that again!
