Sorry, everybody. The site was unavailable from about 18:00 to 20:15 today.

We asked our web host to make a small change but somebody made a typo and put us off the air.

No bother. Stuff happens.

I was busy and out of the house for a while, so we did not realise until Fiona got an email from Michelle in NZ. Thank you, Mickle!

Isn't t'interweb thingy marvellous, the way it shrinks the globe and keeps us all in contact.

I was worried that something bad had happened to the site but I'm glad it's back and nothing's been lost.

Visit my blog for food, drink, photography and hamsters.

Humph - I was thinking it was Phyllis-laptop's fault!  Must admit though I did resort to Firefox in the end and got a 404 message...then OH took me out to eat Thai food.  YUM!

I'll try that again!

wave Am I the only one who is not back to normal? I use Safari and I have CSH bookmarked.  It still shows the web default page when I try to get in.  If I google CSH I can get to the  recipes, and then to the Forum, but every time I try to go to Fiona's blog, I go back to the default page again.  I cannot understand it.    Is anyone else having these problems.  I tried ditching my bookmark and starting again but that made no difference.  If I go to Firefox everything is all right, but I don't want to go on that as all my stuff is on Safari.  Any suggestions folks?

You need to empty your cache, Danuta.

It is easy to do. Read the relevant help manual section:

Help -> Safari help -> Contents tab -> Privacy and security -> Emptying the cache

I was a bit worried. I sat down last night to catch up with the forum and got the page not found error. Checking the domain registry showed it was still registered ok though, so I chalked it up to a casulty of Fiona's over-zealous tidying and made a note to check it today. Nice to have it back again.

I must keep a note of a contact email address so I can drop you guys a note if it happens again.

*fx: touch wood that it doesn't*
