Nag, nag, nag. I won't mention names. You know who you are . . tongue

Jokes aside, I do realise how important they are.

It requires a complete upgrade of the forum software to the current version. That is a little bit daunting (understatement) and may cause some pain for you people (expectation management) but I have put it on my to-do list now and I will make it a priority after I settle in Leeds (hostage to fortune).

So . . . feel free to bump this thread if I appear to be slow in delivering on my promise.

Hmm - is it the first sign of madness when I refer to myself in the 3rd party?

My Mum (from Yorkshire) used to quote "every one in this world is mad except thee and me - and I'm not so sure about thee either" when something daft or silly happened.

Are we having fun yet? I am!

OK, everybody, I will start the forum software upgrade tomorrow (Fri) and hopefully get it completed over the weekend, or maybe even much faster if all goes well. I will give a few hours notice on this thread. Not sure yet if it will require closing the forum for a period of time.

Special Request

The software is free but 3 months expert support by the authors (vital if things go wrong) costs $39, which Fiona has paid. We would greatly appreciate contributions to help defray the cost as cash is tight right now.

So, if possible, please send just $5 by PayPal to my account: dcarey (at) btinternet (dot) com and I will pass it on to F.

I will register all receipts here.

Many thanks all.

Danny, is it actually dollars and not pounds?  Can you (we) send dollars via paypal?  As you can see, I know nothing about that.

Same here.  I wasn't aware, until now, that if you send to friends and family, you are charged 37p!  Not to worry, it is worth it to get the update supported.

I'll try that again!
