I have reached a point where I have to switch over to the new layout to get certain bits working properly.

The forum will look funny for a while but at least your typing will not disappear to the right.

The emoticons line up in a vertical list when you are writing a post and in older posts but that is just temporary.

Fingers crossed.

Danny, I tried to post a message in the Good Morning thread and got this:-

bugger!!  it won't let me copy and paste it for some reason yell

anyway, it was some message that said "parse error:  syntax error, unexpected '<' in .............erm sorry, Danny, I just can't be ar$ed to copy and type the rest of it, but it ended in "line 122"

I don't know if that's any help to you (probably not! embarassed)

Sorry, Sue - I was hoping nobody would be posting when that popped up.

Sod's Law!!!!!

I fixed it straight away - but sorry if you lost your post and thanks for reporting it.

I will try to be more careful.

Anyway, I posted a support ticket for a problem whereby no images are appearing on the Blog menu option and got an instant response (on a Sunday morning). A technical guru is coming onto the site to diagnose it.

Impressive.

Just goes to show you get what you pay for (assuming he fixes it!).

I never did get a response from the supplier of the previous layout. cry

No worries Danny, doesn't matter about the lost post....I talk rubbish anyway a lot of the time big_laugh

Yes, very impressive for an instant response - and on a Sunday.

Well, I hope they manage to sort it out, poor Val is still locked out!  I hope, too, that the font sizes will be resolved, when I type here, it is huge but after posting is tiny.  Finger crossed!

I'll try that again!

I didn't know Val could not access the site. Has she tried today I wonder?

I am guessing she uses IE8 and the previous layout would not load into that browser. This one does.

Toni - remind me again what laptop and operating system you use?

You should not be seeing tiny type today. It was like that yesterday but I fixed it.

On a PC I use Ctrl F5 to ensure the old settings are flushed out but I don't know the Mac equivalent.

Danny, Val's email was sent at almost midnight last night.  Shall I ask her to send you an email with her laptop make and browser?  I have  an HP Pavilion dv6 and I use Chrome and sometimes Firefox.  I have never used the f keys before, but I have just done as you suggested and the font is still minute until I use ctrl and + then it makes the page too wide for my screen.

I'll try that again!

Neither do I have a preview button.

You have to tell us how you achieved that, Nadine. It's something I always wanted too!

Toni, hold the Ctrl down and press F5 - see if that makes a differemce.
