Ah, you have just answered my query, thank you!  Hattie, you have to be a Flickr member and we have to have contact there...phew - I did not have an idea how to let everyone see the pics now that I have made it all private again.

My neighbour has been repairing his chimney for the last two days and earlier I spotted that he had put up what I took to be a Seagull weather vane, so I took a picture of it to see it more clearly…

It doesn't go around in the wind so I expect that the ferocious winter winds will take his new chimney off...
