It certainly did - considering all the things you are currently involved in - I reckon it was excellent! star

Next project I must do and sharpish is to do a cushion for wedding rings. I keep getting clean enough hands to handle the silky white fabric and then get in the garden and my hands are mucky again - and yes I do wash them and yes it is because I forget my gloves sometimes but sometimes the muck gets through the gloves too roll_eyes

Will you be embroidering the cushion, or will it be like a church cushion - cross-stitch?

Have you a design already?

Looking forward to seeing that too .....   big_hug

I will embroider it and I have done a tentative design - tentative because most things I make evolve in the process cheers

Excellent puppet Joanna- perhaps you could forget the cushion and he could hold the rings in his mouth?devil

Or might the happy couple not be overjoyed with that idea? whistle

Kateuk makes things at http://www.etsy.com/shop/finkstuff and sometimes she does this too http://www54paintings.blogspot.com/ and also this http://finkstuff.weebly.com/

Thanks to Michelle for jogging my memory on updating the sewing machine request as that reminded me that I hadn't posted the finished ring cushion, so here it is. Well almost as it was before it was stuffed and is a scanned picture but you get the idea

Yes they were thanks. The lace I think is some old tatting on a handkerchief made by one of my grandmothers, can't be 100% sure but it is the type of thing my grandmothers did and my granny was especially talented at that sort of thing and did some incredibly fine work in tatting and crochet.cheers

How lovely to use a handmade family heirloom piece to embellish it. So special, beautiful.

Never assume anything - except an occasional air of intelligence.
