searched the house from top to bottom today for wool, sure i had loads of odd bits, but must have freecycled it all at some time, looks like I'll have to venture out in the snow after all. Got a pickle stall tomorrow night to do anyway, so no choice really, getting a bit stir crazy anyway after 3 days at home.

As this threads has caused so much merriment I thought I should give an update. started knitting one on sunday on way to visit mum in law in hosp, got to stall point on sunday night as nothing to 'stuff/fill' it with.

Started on a second slug and got to same point last night, been out and bought some stuffing (well actually some dried chick peas) today while on mercy shopping trip for a few of my old dears that I gardne for, going to get on with them now. will post pics of finished articles in next couple of days.

I have a stuffing story to entertain the stir crazy.

My niece's husband is the Dame in their local panto. He needs a bust. My niece is fairly well endowed and assumed one of her old bras would be fine.

Wrong.

The Dame in question is a burly 6'2" gentleman, he needs more than a normal bust.

So, off they went to the bra shop....48 J cup.

So, what to stuff it with? The cost of using good quality proper toy stuffing was prohibitive, so a trip to the £ Shop and two cushion pads later...voila...a stupendous, manly bust!

I shall insist he wears it for Christmas Dinner, so will my Mother.

Kateuk makes things at http://www.etsy.com/shop/finkstuff and sometimes she does this too http://www54paintings.blogspot.com/ and also this http://finkstuff.weebly.com/

Did you know you can get a pattern for knitted breasts? There are Health Visitors who actually use them as a teaching aid, in ante-natal classes. laugh
