No, no, he hasn't got his welder any more - didn't think he would need it in this new life of ours.

Though, having said that, he did weld my ironing board when the legs gave way - it lasted for a good seven years, until I inherited my Mum's (Victorian engineering - plenty of metal in it), and when we moved he cleared it out of the greenhouse, where it had been an auxiliary bench.

But it keeps them happy,they crochet off the page , knit slugs (worms are easier) and now they thinkflaming_norais an other art and craft !spose there was skill involved in exiting spinning bed and getting to the loo not that mother reconised it. TA even seems to think you can weld thread  you can knot,knit or follow it the last being impossible on CSHwhistle    runaway
