Wish us luck. This afternoon we need to move our two ewes from the valley field up to one of the house fields. These sheep are the most awkward animals you could imagine. If you try and herd them they gallop off in all directions at 90 miles an hour and if you try and lead them on a rope they drop to the ground and refuse to budge. AND we have to seperate them from the ram who will not be happy.
Like I said - wish us luck
I have reached an age where my train of thought often leaves the station without me...
Actually we now have no ewes.
It's a long story but at the moment we have decided to not keep sheep over the winter nor do any lambing which I am both sad and relieved about. The ewes have gone to friend's though and were in fact very well behaved when we moved them - unlike the ram who promptly decided to bash the gate to pieces. It's strange not having woolly friends around.
