big_hug for all!
My main achievement is I am still alive in sub zero temperatures and an unfinished house. I said all last year I wanted a cosy home this winter but yet again it hasn't happened. The Gites have to take priority I know but it makes me so depressed living like this.
Surviving another winter is my biggest achievement. Assuming I do big_laugh

Warm thoughts heading your way Alys. Must admit that cold houses are the worse. Our heating company are flying a bit close to the wire with regards to the heat in our house. It is just about okay.

Just to say that I'm no longer waiting for news, but will tell more later runaway

Make sure that you wear lots of warm clothes.  Do you get cups of tea there?

I'll try that again!

wave  No cups of tea, but the hall was nice and warm, the meeting went well  and we went to the Hotel afterwards.   So all in all a successful evening.

Snow bound too so have stuffed lambs wool insulation into holes in house and it is now much warmer. Have also been re locating everything in the old kitchen cupboards that are in the lounge as we are taking them out after this tea break.

Finished re-assembling my garden bench/seat in the garden- it is to big and heavy to be fully assembled in somewhere warm and then taken outside, so I spent a lovely hour rolling about in the snow rebuilding it from its components. I ended up with a very wet bum, and had to change completely out of my wet clothes when I came back in.

Are we having fun yet? I am!

Bored or a perverse sense of fun maybe Jan.......I wouldn't have let him back in the house with his wet clothes on....I'd have made him strip in the garden and sold tickets to the neighbours....big_laughbig_laugh

Janet, that was the weather perking up! No snow, low wind, around 0 degrees C- better than minus 13 that it has been at times.

It takes up room wherever the components are kept, and it is a reminder that it still needs doing, when you fall over it. It was not to bad, just a bit more awkward than it would have been without the snow lying around.

And yes I was bored as well, OH is continuing to make batches of marmalade, so I can't get near the worksurfaces and oven to do some baking experimentation in the kitchen, and the garage is to cold to work in on anything worthwhile, the garden is frozen, so I wanted something to do.

Are we having fun yet? I am!
