I couldn't find an achievements thread for this year so I've started a new one.Over a week ago I got the propagators out of the shed. A few days later I gave them a clean. A few more days and the bag of compost came in. Finally, after a couple more days, I got around to planting some seeds. Nothing fancy, just some herbs, strawberry plants and chard.

I remember being restricted in what I could do when my last husband worked nights, it can be very frustrating.
I achieved something today as well, I managed to fathom out how to use Microsoft One Drive word processor. It is an online version of Word, and is free to use. My laptop came with Microsoft Works but that was for a trial period only and then they would start charging £7.95 per month. Bearing in mind that I used it once every quarter, I wasn't prepared to fork out. So I have had a mind boggling morning but I think I have the gist of it now. Three stars for me!
I'll try that again!
A great shame that I cannot put up photos - I finished 3 hats in total, and I've made them reversible, too. White on the inside means they can be used as sunhats in the summer, when OH is on the tractor mower while mowing the fields; and denim on the outside in the winter, as they are double-layered they are warmer than his current ones.
Sorted!
Very industrious, Val And well done Toni!
I'm trying to drink more water, been feeling quite sluggish with a rumbly tum the past few days so think I need to flush out my system (too much info I know ). Well, my achievement for yesterday was to drink 6 glasses of water throughout the day, plus a couple of cups of coffee and 1 of tea. Not too keen on the inevitable getting up twice during the night for the loo, though
learning to love veg…..except celery :-O
I read somewhere that it is a fallacy that you have to drink 8 cups of water a day, that you should only drink when you are thirsty. I think what's important is that it be plain water and not carbonated drinks - probably not include coffee or tea as part of your daily intake either.
Home is where the heart is.
We went car shopping today since we need to upgrade to a bigger car now that we have 2 children both needing car seats. We had a look at Fords and Citroens. All I learnt was that citroen make better coffee! It comes from a dispensing machine whereas the coffee from Ford was an indifferent cup of instant.
We've not decided which car to go for yet, we need to work out how much we can afford to pay each month and which of the various gadgets and toys we need!
