I somehow think turkey fat might solidify here, however I won't risk it.
I don't feed wildlife, I don't believe in it but having said that, where I live we don't get snow (not in my corner of the world anyway) but have planted lots of native trees for them and they can always get to the chooks water bowl
I have copied and pasted that article on another forum that I am involved in as someone on their mentioned suet so thanks for that
