Excellent thanks, glad you liked it.  I doubt though that there be much left wink

It seems to survive the postal service OK. That's three I have posted and all have arrived safely.

If anyone is interested I worked out it costs about the same to do as the garlic. £4.50 hand delivered or £6 posted. A friend bought 4 packs for Christmas ok

Obviously there is a little element of profit in that to go towards the cost of the smoker and vacuum packer big_laugh

And, anyway, I have sent none this year. I do send one or two - no, I used to do that, but no more - since second class mail costs ten shillings!

I'll try that again!

I know that Val, but it just seems to me that ten shillings to post second class is criminal.  big_laugh  I had occasion to buy a first class stamp today - it was 60 pence, not quite the difference that there used to be between the two is it?

I'll try that again!

wave I had to post a parcel yesterday and the 1st class cost was £8.90 and the 2nd class cost was £8.00.  Hardly any difference at all.  I thought it very strange!!

A friend of ours posted a parcel to his daughter in Australia - £78.

After he was picked up from the floor ..............   whistle  He still rants about it now! smile

Toni, you're right, of course - I feel that my son is doing the right thing - a couple of years ago, and in his Christmas cards, he told everyone that he would be donating to his favourite charity from now on, and not giving it to the Post Office!

Thank you for that Val.  I have relatives who don't do internetting so I feel obliged to do the PO thing, but it is galling when I recall that it was tuppence ha'penny to post a 2 d card.

I'll try that again!

I never send parcels royal mail or parcelforce any more, far too expensive, I always use a courier via interparcel far cheaper and they pick up from my house

Never give up Tomorrow is another day.

You're right, Eileen, we use other services too - the Post Office needs to get its act together if they are to survive the competition.
