No candles......or even fork 'andles....
Who lives long sees much : The diary of my life in Bulgaria
Sadly mine is still lurking in the freezer! One of these days I will resurrect it.
Trying to enjoy life as it is
I would have put candles on top if I had time... I mixed the dough before work and baked it last night, after 12 hours rising (knocking-back twice). Trouble is, we've eaten half of it already
Emma did complain last week that I remembered the anniversary of the sourdough bread but not the anniversary of us becoming a couple. But in all fairness, she forgot our anniversary too.

also, has anyone noticed that with sourdough you don't need to add as much salt to the mix? I suppose this is probably because the dough itself has more intrinsic flavour. With the little'un, I've been reducing the amount of salt when I cook and usually only put half the amount of salt in breads and I haven't had any problems with bland tasteless bread.
