Poor Ruth is still suffering but from hospital food...

"Dinner time rolls round again and this time it brings these delicacies; 'mushroom' gruel followed by a totally leekless potato, cheese and leek bake the consistency of baby food and some overdone carrots so mushy their internal integrity has broken down."

It just looks so unappetising.

Thank you all for your thoughts and big_hug.  Much much appreciated.  I'm now thankfully home again after 2 ops in the end to clean out the infected haematoma - and yes this was a result of coming off my bike on my birthday!  I have very strict instructions to take it easy and lie up so will be on the pc rarely.  I can do FB on my somewhat antiquated phone but not CSH unfortunately.  Anyway - all seems well thus far and I have to just keep taking the tablets and not doing owt.  The Chap is on washing up and hoovering duty for the foreseeable.  big_laugh  He is also making up for the less than wonderful food in hospital bless 'im.

Hugs to you all, your comments on FB have cheered me up no end, thank you. xxx  big_hug heart big_hug

wave Hi Ruth,

It must be quite a relief to be home at last after all you have gone through. Take it easy & I hope you recover soon.

Glad you survived the hospital food, Ruth. It looked really ghastly. flaming_nora

Good to see you're safely home again and on the mend. Make the most of the rest while you can. big_hug

I'm trying - sitting around for days on end doing nowt doesn't come naturally though!  big_laugh Oh to tardis off somewhere warm where it wasn't raining; and my leg worked...  big_laugh

Think I may start crafting the C******** cards today, I know it's early but I can do it without walking around.  Either that or finally learn to knit off the t'internet.

Thanks again for all you good wishes.  big_hug  I've missed being on here and hearing what everyone's up to.  heart

Dear Ruth,

Do try the knitting idea. Once you get the knack, it is so good for you. Proven fact - it has the same effect on the brain as proper meditation. http://www.yarnharlot.ca/blog/ said so when I saw her talk in London. And if you don't get to that stage it is at least fidgetting to a purpose.

Take care!wave

Oh yes to the knitting - try crochet too, that is also fun and productive.  I shall have to read what the Yarn Harlot says...

I'll try that again!
