It tastes good too, Toffeeapple. G rates it as my best effort to date and tells me I can make it again any time. We're celebrating on a small scale today as all our friends are working. We're having a stew tea and will be having a few drinks and watching us some Roddy Doyle movies tonight. We're meeting friends at the weekend for some delayed celebrating.
Well, Fiona cooked up a scrumptious meal made from the most unlikely companion ingredients that were rescued from the thawing freezer at the weekend. 10 from 10 on the restaurant quality test! I guess she will write a blog article about it.
St Patrick's Day is quite muted compared with back home where it is a national holiday and celebrated in style. The highlight for me was hearing Chris Evans' nonsense but very amusing Irish take offs on his early morning radio show.
It's definitely time that England declared St George's Day as a national holiday too.i
