What's everyone doing then?
We're off to friends for a weekend of drunken debauchery
(well ok, a few G&Ts, telly and maybe a few games on the Wii - we know how to live it up )
Have a great time everyone, whatever you do, and a very happy new year to you all
learning to love veg…..except celery :-O
Just the 2 of us this year with a bottle of red and a good meal. Hope 2012 brings good things to all
Trying to enjoy life as it is

We've had a fairly low key christmas, we drove around and visited parents, but its the only year we didn't have a tree or put up any decorations. New year will be fairly quiet with just the two of us and a bottle or two of mulled wine. The last few months of 2011 have been very tiring and I don't think I have the energy for a hectic or late night!
Visit my blog for food, drink, photography and hamsters.

Speak for yourself, MOS - and try to keep yer angle grinder away from yer body, for the next few days at least while A&Es are super busy.
F will probably send 100 Twitter tweets on NY eve (she adores the new clean slate) and I will try to hide my usual depressed feelings about yet another year gone to waste
Never knowingly underfed

You know how to live it up, Danny !
Happy New Year to one and all -
Another year gone to waste? Nothing is wasted if we learn from it Tough years are to build upon and good years are to celebrate
, but really most years are a mixture of both anyway

....if you are coming our way BE QUIET as you pass

OK....promise I will and if you are coming this way....anybody...you'll be lucky to get here...it's snowing... so I'm curling up early with a book and a bottle and I'll put out two glasses just in case....
and I might just have to drink both of them to save it going to waste....
May I wish you all what you hope for in 2012 but if you get what you deserve or what is good for you...accept it, learn the lesson well or it will be back again and again....
Happy New Year....

Six or maybe 8 people for dinner tonight. We liked our roast beef on Christmas Day so much that we are doing it again, but with Danny's method this time. Friends are bringing the starter (think it may involve seafood). I'm making a bilberry tart for afters. Bottles of blanquette chilling in the fridge. Better get on and clean the house now, it's a tip
