Dear gods Bob!  Are you having to pay for their stupidity as well? big_hug

Certainly not, but I have put the details on their facebook page with photographs and will be looking for the cost of cleaning materials.

That might make something happen.  I hope it does anyway.

I'll try that again!

Mini rant- we are going on an easy jet flight and they have informed us that if we want to guarantee that our hand luggage will stay in the cabin on busy flights, then there is a maximum size we can take, which is smaller than the industry standard cabin bag. The size is 50 by 40 by 20cm  (that includes the wheel and the handle in the 50cm height) instead of the slightly larger std case.

Sods law has it that we don't have one that is small enough , but large enough capacity to carry anything in. So we have spent time going around all the shops that stock travel cases, and eventually found that Argos had one that was 51 cm tall and 40 by 20 cm and having spoken to somone who has recently flown easyjet, it appears that should be acceptable to them.

Are we having fun yet? I am!

That is pretty small, Martin, but then what choice have you?

If you want to fly anywhere, you have to comply ... they have you over a barrel!

We also have the hold bags as well, but again weight limited- mine is packed- OH still to do hers, I get exasperated that she always leaves it to the last minute to pack. I also will be taking a rucksack- basically both case/rucksack, will contain our expensive items and any medicines we need to take.

Are we having fun yet? I am!

Field manager came round, saw the severity of the issue and photos, fully accepted responsibilty and is now working out compensation.

That has been taken care of now at their expense.

It is why our renovations are so slow, we now do it ourselves having had enough of being messed about by workmen. If we cannot do it it doesn't happen!
