Sorry about line not spamming just easer for me to do this way.
no more snow! I cant cope with it. I can see where cabin fever comes from. but then again, if we hada good amount of snow and we had councils that could cope with it and more shops selling clothing and boots etc. then I could adapt.
why is it that I felt colder this morning a 6 oC after some rain, than last week at -5 oC with snow and ice? I just dont get it

So true i sleep with my hat on in one room yet i love cold weather those were the days
It is colder at +6C than -5C because the air is damper and nothing chills more than damp air. I remember that in Denmark the temperature was colder than the UK but drier and when I went back for a funeral I was perished (not used that in a long while) and it was all because it was so damp. Below freezing for a length of time it sucks the damp out of the air and deposits it as frost.
I can't stand the cold damp days which make up most of our British winter. I really don't mind the cold dry days - especially when they're coupled with a clear blue sky. I used to do a lot of photography and clear winter days can give better results than clear summer days because the light isn't as harsh. Of course whenever there's snow, I can't wait to get out with my camera.

Today has been a day for staying inside beside the fire looking out at the rain and gloom. However with 2 labs and a big brown brainless hairy dog I had to venture out quite a lot It was so wet with a cold wind and I don't think I have warmed up yet and I was dressed warmly. Joanna is right, when it was frosty we were cold but not chilled by damp. I think I will have to cosy up with a Hottie to get warm again - that's after I have been out again!!!
